How a sustainability requirement reshaped routing and logistics across borders.

A client operating on charter in Greek waters needed 290,000 litres of HVO, a sustainable fuel aligned with the owner’s environmental objectives. The request was clear and non-negotiable.

There was just one issue: HVO was not available anywhere in Greece.

Rather than compromising on fuel choice, the plan had to evolve. The route was adjusted and a refuelling stop organised in Crotone, Southern Italy, involving cross-border coordination and the mobilisation of nine trucks. Despite the complexity, the yacht refuelled on time, without operational impact.

This was not a standard delivery.

It was a solution built around a specific requirement technical, logistical and environmental.

When requirements go beyond availability, adaptability becomes part of the plan.
